What to do in December in the vegetable garden ?

Here we are... It's already been a year since we started the "what to do in the garden" sequence. And to finish this year 2022 together, here are our 4 missions to do in the garden. Indeed, the end of the year being here, the garden is resting and requires less attention. But that doesn't mean that this month will be a restful one, don't worry! Let's get it all in order so we can start off on the right foot in 2023.

1. Pruning trees :

it's time to give our shrubs a makeover! To ensure good health and balance, pruning shrubs is important. Especially since fall has passed and there are no leaves left on our trees.

2. Continue to dig up clay soils :

Be patient! It takes time to get the soil to soften. To do this, repeat last month's manipulation by turning the soil over and letting it dry. Do not hesitate to moisten it.

3. Preserve your crops :

Sometimes we are overwhelmed by the harvest and don't know what to do with it... But don't panic, we have the solution to preserve your fruits and vegetables in time. The first solution is the simplest and most effective. Wash and dry the fruits and vegetables before freezing them in a bag provided for this purpose. You can prepare your dishes before freezing them. If you don't have enough space in the freezer, you can make jams or liqueurs with your fruit.

4. Cleaning vegetables :

It is important to clean your garden tools before storing them until next year. Proper care of your tools will help them last longer and make them easier to find! But cleaning doesn't just mean "swabbing", it also means sharpening, cleaning and disinfecting every corner. The perfect opportunity to take inventory of your tools!
